48 Margaret Street, London by Kit Lambert and Chris Stamp to launch their new independent record label, Track Records. Guests included The Who, Terence Stamp and Jean Shrimpton, Eric Clapton, Jimi Hendrix, Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchell, Michael Caine, Elizabeth
d'Ercy, footballer Bobby Moore and Simon & Garfunkel. Promo films of The Who, John's Children and Simon & Garfunkel were shown. Track Records kicked off with a new single from the Jimi Hendrix Experience (Track 604001) called 'Purple Haze.
